Membership
Membership is not a transaction. It is a commitment, a deliberate, wholehearted commitment to the survival, prosperity, and sovereignty of people who have chosen to build something genuinely different from the world they leave behind. When you join, you are not signing up for a service or purchasing a lifestyle. You are becoming part of a living community bound together by shared faith, shared values, and a shared determination to build a civilization worthy of the generations who will inherit it.
We have set aside the logic of the capitalist world, its wage labor, its corporate extraction, its reduction of people to units of economic productivity. In its place we are building something older and truer: a cooperative society in which land, infrastructure, and resources are held in common, and in which the fruits of our labor flow back to the community rather than outward to distant shareholders. Every member contributes to this system, and every member benefits from it. No one is left behind. No one's labor enriches anyone but our own people.
Admission is necessarily selective. We are not looking for people who are curious about an alternative lifestyle or interested in a temporary experiment. We are looking for men and women who are genuinely ready to commit, to a new set of responsibilities, to a society that will depend on them, and to a way of life rooted in traditional family values, reverence for the natural world, and the law of nature as the highest guide. We welcome individuals and families alike, and we are particularly eager to receive those who bring practical skills and a strong work ethic, farmers, builders, engineers, teachers, healers, craftsmen, and others who understand that society is built by capable, devoted hands.
The membership process is thorough by design. Prospective members undergo a multi-stage evaluation that begins with a detailed assessment of your skills, your background, and your alignment with our values. This is followed by a period of integration, during which you will come to know us and we will come to know you. We take this process seriously because integrity depends on the integrity of everyone. Those who are accepted are those who have demonstrated not only capability but genuine readiness, people who understand what they are entering and are committed to it fully.
Upon acceptance, new members make a founding financial contribution to Freeport. This is not a fee in the commercial sense, it is an investment in the physical foundations of your new home. These pooled resources are used to develop and expand our off-grid energy infrastructure, organic agricultural networks, medical and educational facilities, public works, and the full range of systems that make us a functioning, self-sufficient society. Your contribution is not spent, it is transformed into something lasting. Into land tended with care. Into buildings that will stand for generations. Into systems that will sustain your children and your children's children long after the old world's institutions have been forgotten. We accept initial contributions in USD, Bitcoin, or Monero, with all funds brought into our Monero-based economy upon receipt.
Life asks something real of you. You will be expected to live modestly and with intention, to uphold the traditional family structures that form the backbone of our community, to honor the God and the Goddess in the rhythms of daily life, and to contribute your skills and energy to the common good. You will be expected to treat your neighbors as kin, because they are. In return, we offer you something the outside world has largely ceased to provide: genuine security, genuine belonging, and a genuine future. Your children will be raised within a living tradition. Your household will be supported by a community that knows your name. Your old age will be cared for by people who regard that care as a sacred duty rather than a burden.
You will not be a cog in someone else's machine here. You will be a member of a family, a vital part of something that existed before you arrived and will continue long after you are gone. That is what we are building. That is what your membership makes possible.
If you have heard something in these words that speaks to what you have long been searching for, we invite you to take the first step. Reach out to us. Tell us who you are, what you carry, and what you are ready to build. We will take it from there, together.
